Improving trainer decisions into a CVE for training applying ZPD concept

چکیده
Assign the students the appropriate task associated with this own capabilities and knowledge, and form rights groups among team members are two main problems that a Pedagogical Agent –acting like a trainermust solve into a Collaborative Virtual Environment for training. We use reusable learning objects design by contract to formulate a Student Knowledge Model and a student ZPD, concepts derived from Intelligent Tutorial Systems and Vygotsky’s social theory, respectively. These models could help the trainer to improve its work facilitating information about the current student knowledge and the knowledge what s/he is ready to learn, then the student task assignation and the grouping into the team could be improving. Key-Words: Collaborative Virtual Environments for Training, ZPD, Student Knowledge Model, and Reusable Object Learning by Contract.

Training Crisis Managers with PANDORA
This short paper introduces a novel use of timeline-based planning as the core element of a dynamic training environment for crisis managers called PANDORA. A trainer is provided with a combination of planning and execution functions that allow him/her to maintain and adapt a “lesson plan” as the basis for the interaction between the trainer and a class of trainees. The training session is base...

In this study, a force reflection control structure is developed for the surgery training haptic system. In the surgery training haptic system, the surgical operation is cooperatively performed by a trainer and a trainee. The participation of each surgeon in the operation is established through their own haptic consoles. Although the operation is primarily performed by the trainee, the trainer ...

متن کاملCollaborative Virtual Environment to Simulate On- The-job Aircraft Inspection Training Aided by Hand
The human inspector performing visual inspection of an aircraft is the backbone of the aircraft inspection process, a vital element in assuring safety and reliability of an air transportation system. Training is an effective strategy for improving their inspection performance. A drawback of present-day on-the-job (OJT) training provided to aircraft inspectors is the limited exposure to differen...
متن کاملInterface between L2 learners’ pragmatic performance, language proficiency, and individual/group ZPD
One of the theories accounting for pragmatic development of L2 learners is Vygotsky’s (1978) sociocultural theory. This study investigated the development of EFL learners' pragmatic competence through the lens of an important concept of Vygotsky’s theory, i.e. the zone of proximal development. The study was conducted to answer two questions. The first question was wheth...
